Overview:

Iris Wang joined NTD in 2008 and has been practicing intellectual property law ever since. Her practice areas cover civil and administrative IP litigation, corporate IP strategy consulting, review of IP and commercial contracts, domestic and international IP portfolio management,  application and recognition of well-known trademark brands, negotiation of trademark and copyright assignment, as well as customs protection of intellectual property rights, etc. 

During her tenure at NTD, Iris Wang was recognized as an 'Outstanding Young Foreign-Related Intellectual Property Lawyer of Xicheng District for the Year 2025' by the Beijing Xicheng District Lawyers Association for his exceptional professional performance. A copyright case she represented was designated as a jointly supervised case by seven ministries and commissions, including the Ministry of Public Security and the National Copyright Administration of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee. The case was also selected as one of the "Top 10 Intellectual Property Typical Cases of 2023" by the Beijing Xicheng District Lawyers Association, and won the "2024 Golden Shield Case for IP Protection of Chinese and Foreign Enterprises" jointly awarded by Xinhua News Agency and the Capital IP Service Industry Association.

• Representative of Beijing Huayue Education Technology Co., Ltd. in a criminal case of copyright infringement involving the cross-provincial sale of pirated books, jointly supervised by seven ministries and commissions, including the Ministry of Public Security and the National Copyright Administration of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee. • Represented a leading domestic wireless data radio enterprise in the second-instance administrative litigation of trademark cancellation review. Broke through traditional evidence presentation approaches by innovatively adopting an "on-site evidence demonstration" model, successfully overturning the original decision. The case was selected as one of the "2025 Intellectual Property Typical Cases" by the Beijing Xicheng District Lawyers Association.

• Represented a well-known domestic apparel company in an unfair competition and trademark infringement lawsuit against Taobao stores for large-scale copying of clothing designs and style numbers. Successfully applied the Anti-Unfair Competition Law to stop the infringement, persuaded the court to apply punitive damages, and effectively curbed malicious counterfeiting activities.

• Representative of Safe Skies LLC. in handling an arbitration case with a company in Dongguan, and successfully won more than 1 million yuan of liquidated damages.

• Representative of a well-known Japanese artist Takashi Murakami in the copyright infringement case and successfully obtained the compensation about RMB 1 million through non-litigation methods including investigation and negotiation.

• Representative of a well-known domestic writer in a dispute over online infringement liability, achieving victory and successfully safeguarding the client's legitimate rights and interests.

• Assisted 7 brands of 6 well-known domestic and international fashion enterprises, and successfully assisted them in being selected as "3A Well-known Trademark Brands" by the China Trademark Association, as well as "Well-known Trademark Brands for Clothing and Accessories" jointly evaluated by the China Trademark Association, the China Fashion Association, and the China National Garment Association.**

• Represented a well-known domestic apparel enterprise in handling a large number of trademark acquisition, confirmation, and enforcement cases. For example, in six opposition cases filed by the rights holder against the enterprise's trademarks based on the cross-class protection of well-known trademarks, five of the six opposition cases were successfully won. Additionally, in responding to the client's fourth trademark examination opinion, the risk of the client's 45 trademark applications being deemed malicious registrations was successfully eliminated.

• Represented well-known domestic enterprises in trademark portfolio planning, handling disputes arising during the planning process, including reexamination, opposition, invalidation, and cancellation cases, and successfully eliminated the prior registration obstacles of the client's core category trademarks.

• Representative of Peking University in filing an invalidation against a maliciously registered trademark，after the trademark was successfully invalidated, forced the squatter settle with the client on the series of trademarks squatted.

• Representative of Ruibiao Enterprise Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in a sales contract dispute with a well-known domestic e-commerce company， and successfully persuade the court to support our claim for triple compensation.
