According to the General Administration of Customs, the customs departments across the country detained 65,192 batches of goods suspected of IPR infringement in 2009, worthy of 370,000,000 Renminbi yuan.
From June 1, 2009 to December 31, 2009, the customs departments in the nation launched special campaigns on IPR protection. During the special campaign, customs officials captured 37,784 batches of infringing goods.
In order to assist domestic enterprises to cope with financial crisis, the customs at all levels further reinforced the protection of IPRs of domestic enterprises and helped enterprises to solve problems in safeguarding their right. In 2009, customs departments detained 482 batches of goods infringing the IPRs of domestic enterprises, totaling 47,071,000 pieces with a value of 40,923,000 Renminbi yuan.
