According to the statistics from State Intellectual Property Office and State Statistical Bureau, in 2009, 17,884 enterprises of certain size in China applied patents, accounting for 4.2% of the total 426,000 enterprises of certain size,, which produced a revenue of 11.2478 trillion Rebminbi yuan, accounting for 22.3% of the total revenue of those enterprises.
Statistics show that those enterprises which file patent applications in spite of the global crisis are much better off in terms of the economic revenues. Huawei and Sino-Pec are among those leading industries with key technologies.
