Beijing Film Association, composed of 128 film professionals and scholars, was set up in September in Beijing. It is registered as a non-profit professional organization and will serve as a bridge between the government, film makers and film artists.
Beijing is known for the center of film creation, production, and communication in China and has a great number of film talents from across the country. Beijing Film Association is the result of the film industry' development in Beijing, and will be a new platform for the healthy development of the film industry in future.
The association will unite all film professionals in Beijing and take good advantage of its uniqueness in term of the human resources and regional advantage. Efforts are to be made to promote the creation of original films. Most importantly, the association will play an important role in strengthening the protection of intellectual property in the film industry.
