Recently, Chongqing Municipal Bureau for Industry and Commerce and two other departments jointly released "Measures on Administering Trademark Pledge for Loans"(hereinafter refers to as “Measures “), providing a new approach to expand financing channels for enterprises. This was the result of several governmental agencies after rounds of analysis and discussions. It clearly defines the rights and obligation of the debtor and creditor and will serve as a basis for trademark pledge for loans.
Trademark pledge for loans will help the enterprises or individual businesses use their trademark as a pledge and seek for loans from the financing institutions such as banks. There is an agreed interest and term of returning the loans. As a newly developed financing method, it can help solve the financing problems faced by the enterprises, and in addition, it can strengthen the competitiveness of the enterprises and develop their own brands and trademarks.
Up to now, there are 27 well-known marks and 407 famous marks in Chongqing city.
