In early July, Guangming Administration for Industry and Commerce (AIC) in Shenzhen City destroyed 50,000 counterfeit commodities suspected of trademark infringement. These goods include wine, edible oil and soft drinks, the total value is over 213,677 Renminbi yuan, covering 18 categories of goods.
According to the official from the Guangming AIC, from the beginning of 2009, the enforcement officials have been cooperating with the officials from other district in combating the illegal activities relating to the sale of counterfeit commodities. The purpose is to purify the market and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the consumers. It is said that more efforts will be made against the counterfeit and inferior products.
