The "Provisional Measures on Recognition and Management of Top Ten Service Brands of Zhongshan city" was issued recently. The Measures provide for specific regulations for the application, recognition, management and assistance with regard to the top 10 brands in service industry. In applying for the said brands, the following factors should be considered: income for 3 consecutive years, tax paid, market reputation, and the social reputation. The Top 10 brands shall be elected from 10 specific service industries and shall be valid for 3 years.
According to the Measures, the elected enterprises can be awarded 50,000 Renminbi yuan and more shall be funded if the brands become the provincial famous marks and the well-known marks across China.
Under the measures, a committee should be responsible for the recognition of the said brands and the committee is composed of members from local Development and Reform Commission, Industry and Commerce Bureau, Tax bureau, quality control and supervison. Final list shall be chosen by public vote.
