In June 2025, under the unified deployment of the State Administration for Market Regulation, the Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation launched the third "Enterprise Trade Secret Protection Capacity Enhancement Month". Leveraging its deep expertise in intellectual property, NTD Intellectual Property (NTD) played a key role in the campaign by providing professional support.
1. Laying a Solid Foundation with Targeted Research
NTD’s legal team, leveraging its extensive experience in IP legal services, offered professional support for the design of the “Trade Secret Protection Knowledge Survey”. Through scientifically designed questionnaires, the survey aims to accurately identify the challenges and pain points enterprises may face in trade secret protection, thereby laying the groundwork for formulating targeted protection strategies in the future.
2. Practical Training to Empower Enterprises: Bridging Theory and Practice
On June 19, the Beijing Special Seminar on Trade Secret Protection was held at the Chaoyang District Administration for Market Regulation. Mr. Frank Mu, Partner at NTD, served as a guest lecturer, and Ms. Lily Fu, Senior Partner, participated as a distinguished guest. Together, they delivered a comprehensive session to representatives from market regulation bureaus across Beijing and over 60 enterprises.
Frank Mu’s presentation combined solid theoretical knowledge with vivid practical cases, offering in-depth insights into five key areas: the definition of trade secrets, ownership, acts of misappropriation and legal remedies, case studies of trade secret breaches, and protective measures. During the interactive session, both Frank Mu and Lily Fu engaged directly with enterprise representatives, providing professional and detailed responses to practical challenges encountered in safeguarding trade secrets.
3. On-site Legal Expertise to Support Enterprises
On June 20, the Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation conducted a survey in Dongcheng District, visiting Beijing Enamel Factory. Lily Fu, Senior Partner, and Xue Yan, Senior Attorney at NTD, took part in the visit and engaged in discussions with local government officials and company executives, sharing legal insights and recommendations.
NTD’s legal team will continue to participate in pilot enterprise support initiatives organized by the Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation. As seasoned experts in the legal field, they will offer “one-on-one” legal diagnosis services to local businesses, helping establish long-term protection mechanisms and boosting enterprises’ confidence in safeguarding their trade secrets.
NTD’s active involvement in the "Enterprise Trade Secret Protection Capacity Enhancement Month" demonstrates its strong commitment to social responsibility and dedication to enhancing enterprises’ intellectual property protection capabilities. Through these efforts, NTD is contributing its strength to fostering a culture that values trade secrets and encourages independent innovation.
