Recently, Shenzhen Customs confiscated a batch of exported mobile phone components suspected of infringing intellectual property rights. Of these component, cellphone shells bearing trademark signs of Samsung and Nokia were 321,000 pieces and the earplugs bearing Nokia and MICROLAB were 60,000 pieces. The value of these infringing goods was preliminarily appraised as RMB 2,070,000 Renminbi yuan.
Those goods were declared for export by a company in Shenzhen city. Nevertheless, they did not give clear indication of brands. The officers of Dapeng Customs in Shenzhen reviewed the good and found that they were cellphone shells and earplugs. After examination, Dapeng Customs confirmed that the goods were suspected of infringing others' IPRs. This case was then transferred to relevant departments.
