To advance the protection of 2010 Shanghai World Expo symbols, Industry and Commerce Bureau of Pudong New Area has carried out the following measures:
First, together with six other governmental agencies such as the Shanghai World Expo Coordination Bureau and the Intellectual Property Office of Pudong New Area, deliver more than 1000 promotional materials related to World Expo symbols to help the public learn the related laws and regulations for the protection of the symbols.
Second, by using the media as a platform, guide the advertising operators publish public ads related to the protection of World Expo to avoid any free-ride acts for Expo.
Third, go to communities, schools, and shopping areas, use posters, slogans, or door-to-door visits to enhance the awareness of the public on the protection of t World Expo's symbols
Fourth, pay visits to enterprises and conduct regular check to help the enterprises with more knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, require the advertising operators to examine and prevent any infringement activities.
