Recently, Shanghai Municipal People's Procuratorate selected 52 talented professionals as the think-tank of the Procuratorate. They will establish 7 committees and provide decision-making consultation by means of research and study, investigation, key topic research, case study, etc.
The 52 professionals are either experts with national reputation, researchers, excellent procuratorators, or academic professors. They will be working in different committees for finance, intellectual property, computer network, duty crime, etc.
It is learnt that these committees will provide applicable legal opinions for complicated and difficult cases, and they will also provide suggestions or working plans for forefront issues and emerging issues.
The committees will also conduct on-site investigations to institutions such as insurance, banking and security. IP Committee will go to the enterprises, multinational companies and collect information from the IP rightholders.
