Recently Wuhan Intellectual Property Office carried out a new policy to provide more aids to enterprises with regard to their patent applications, granted invention patents and foreign patent applications. The purpose is to enhance the competitiveness of the enterprises and take the global economic slowdown as an opportunity.
According to the new policy, starting from January 1st, 2009, every granted invention patent will be given a subsidy of another 500 Renminbi yuan in addition to 2,000 Renminbi yuan. For patents granted in United States, Japan and Europe, each patent shall be given 100,000RMB yuan, and for patents granted in other countries, each patent shall be given 30,000 Renminbi yuan.
The new policy also indicates that those enterprises and companies under the IP work plan or patent commercialization project shall be fully funded in terms of the filing.
