On April 30, the Shanghai Expo Lawsuit Service Center was established by the People's Court of Pudong New Area of Shanghai. The court will use the center as platform to deal with administrative disputes, criminal crimes, and intensify the judicial protection for Expo 2010 Shanghai China emblem and the IPRs of all the exhibitors from the world, in order to create a safe and harmonious environment for the Expo 2010 Shanghai.
The service center has three main functions: first, guidance of lawsuit, receiving cases, serving in litigation. This means that the center can help the concerned parties have a quick and efficient understanding of the litigation procedures, accept and transfer relevant materials and check the status of the cases. The center will be only targeted at the cases occurred during Expo 2010 Shanghai. Services provided by the center include legal advice, pre-trial mediation, post-trial explanation, etc.
