Recently, the Product Quality and IPR Supervision and Service Center was established within the International Commerce and Trade Mall in Yiwu of Zhejiang province. The center is one of the measures taken by the local government in market transformation, and it is also an important mechanism for IP protection by the Trade Mall Group and other related agencies.
The Center has 6 functions: to publicize and carry out national laws and regulations on product quality and IPR, to work out and fulfill the work plan on product quality management and plans on IP protection, to supervise the quality of commodities and regularly inspect and handle IP infringement and counterfeiting goods, to provide trainings to business operators in the market, to provide consultative work on laws and regulations related to product quality and IPR and advise on procedures of dispute settlement, and to cooperate with other departments including science and technology, industry and commerce, quality supervision and inspection and quarantine and enhance information exchanges.
