Recently, Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People's Court issued Opinions on Enhancement of IP Trial to serve Technology Development Zones (hereinafter the opinions).
According to the opinions, the court shall use different means and methods to strengthen the IP trial in the technology development zones. Measures include special collegiate bench to handle all IP cases occurred in the zones, use of criminal, civil and administrative methods against repeated infringement, coordination and cooperation with the IP office, industry and commerce department, copyright bureau, customs, etc. in the technology development zones.
It is said that most frequent cases in the technology development zones are related to patent infringement, trade secret, unfair competition, fraud publicity.
