In order to implement 2009 "Thunderstorm" and "Skynet" Special Campaign Plan on IP Enforcement, Shanghai Municipal IP Office recently formulated and distributed 2009 Implementation on "Thunderstorm" and "Skynet" Special Campaign Plan on IP Enforcement (hereinafter the implementation)
The implementation sets 2 stages for the Special campaign, one is from March to May 2009 and the other is from September 2009 to January 2010. During the 2 stages, special campaigns will be conducted targeting at the passing-off of patents, providing facilities for such acts, other illegal activities such as making fake certificate of patents. On-site check or review will be done towards the large supermarkets, wholesale markets and some influential exhibitions and conferences.
Two additional measures have been taken by Shanghai Municipal IP Office as complementary means in "Thunderstorm" and "Skynet" Special Campaigns. One is the hotline of 12330 and another one is formulating and distributing of booklets entitled Protecting IPRs, be aware of Patent Fraud.
