Recently, the national working conference on patent statistics was held in Chongqing, Sichuan province. According to the latest statistics, the application rate of patented technologies reached 63.4% in China. Nearly 90% of the patents recovered the R&D costs, and 71.5% patents have produced more earnings than investment.
According to the newly released "Work Report on the Status of Patent Implementation", 86% of the patented technologies recovered the R&D costs, and the average input-output ratio reached 1:7.2. Among that, 8% of patents gained earnings of 5million Renminbi yuan and 1.7% of patents produced earnings of 50 million Renminbi yuan.
The report also pointed that enterprises have become the major force of innovation in China. The input-output ratio of patent from enterprises reached 1:8.3, much higher than the figures of colleges, research institutions and individuals.
