According to the 2009 arrangements of National Office of Anti-Pornography and Anti-Illegal Publications, National Copyright Administration (hereinafter NCAC) will assume the responsibilities of investigating and handling copyright cases and combating the illegal activities such as online piracy, illegal installment, and sale of illegal computer software.
NCAC will also work with education agencies and carry out activities against piracy. The purpose is to foster an environment where students at the academic institutions and elementary and middle schools can improve their awareness towards the protection of intellectual property. The students will also have the chance to learn how Chinese government has done in terns of IP protection.
