According to the former Provisional Measures for Certification and Protection of Hefei Famous Trademark, trademarks applying for Hefei famous trademarks should be registered trademarks and have registered or used for three years.
But from now on, all registered trademarks can apply for Hefei famous trademarks without being used or registered for 3 years. The Provisions for Certification and Protection of Hefei Famous Trademark, provides that, agricultural companies or other organizations/enterprises shall be awarded 500,000 yuan Renminbi if they obtain well-known marks and geographical indications. 100,000 yuan Renminbi shall be awarded to those which obtain the famous marks in Anhui province.
