Recently, Wuhan Administration for Market Regulation (Wuhan Intellectual Property Administration) has released that the patent grants in Wuhan reached a new record high from January to June of 2021, a 40% year-over-year growth, in which 70% were filed by the enterprises.
According to the statistics, by the end of June, the total grants of patents reached 35,987, a 41.6% year-over-year growth, in which 72% were filed by the enterprises.
Wuhan forges to build “Five Centers” to promote the modernization development and the IP utilization. From January to June, the grants for invention patents reached 9,126, a 51.32% year-over-year growth. Per 10,000 people own 53.57 invention patents in June, over 3 times as many as the national average number.
In recent years, Wuhan has been carrying out the “policy packages” on IP work, to support the enterprises to invent the core technologies and cultivate the high-value patents. The government has initiated the fund for guiding the IP operation to support the social capitals to foster the IP-intensive enterprises to develop the high-quality patents.
