    32nd Video Conference of China-France Joint Committee on Intellectual Property Rights

    On July 20, 2021, 32nd Video Conference of China-France Joint Committee on Intellectual Property Rights was held. Mr. Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and Mr. Pascal Farr, Commissioner of Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial (INPI) attended to exchange views on the latest bilateral development and cooperation in the field of IPRs.

     

    Mr. Shen Changyu said that under the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, China and France maintain wide space for cooperation in IPR, to improve the service for the people of two sides. CNIPA and INPI have promoted the practical cooperation on information exchange and professional training in the China-France Joint Committee. With China-France Geographical Indications (GI) Agreement and China-EU Geographical Indications (GI) Agreement coming into force, more cooperation is welcomed.

     

    Mr. Pascal Farr spoke highly of IP work in China. He said that with an increasing number of French enterprises entering into China, they filed more applications of patents and trademarks to CNIPA. INPI has been highly valuing innovations, and providing convenient service with the SMEs. China and France will further pledge to develop the innovative model of cooperation.
