According to the latest 2020 Statistical Data on Intellectual Property Work by WIPO, China has overtaken US with maximus PCT international applications for the first time in 2019. In recent days, Shanghai Jiaotong University, School of Medicine, authorized an exclusive license to a Shanghai biotechnology company to exploit an invention patent and its international family patents, i.e., a target. Previously, the other targets of this patent have been exclusively licensed to a company in Suzhou. The list of Top 20 Companies for New-energy Vehicle Patents indicated that BYD came top with 9, 426 valid patents. Changan Automobile came second with 5, 243 valid patents, and BJEV came third with 4, 005 valid patents.
