From January to July of 2019, 768, 000 patent applications have been filed, and 277, 000 patents have been granted in China. By the end of July, 2019, the number of the valid patents reached 2, 554, 000, among which the number of the valid domestic (except for Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province) patents reached 1,763,000 and per 10 thousand people owned 12. 6 patents.
From January to July of 2019, 1, 260, 000 utility model applications have been filed, and 885, 000 applications have been granted in China. By the end of July, 2019, the number of the valid utility model patents reached 4, 854, 000.

From January to July of 2019, CNIPA received 3,345 Madrid Trademark International Registrations.
From January to July of 2019, CNIPA received 229, 000 applications of multiple trademark examinations, among which 188, 000 cases were closed.
Geographical Indications and Layout Designs of Integrated Circuits
From January to July of 2019, CNIPA approved 233 registrations of geographical indications, and approved 139 companies to use the products of geographical indication. By the end of July, 2019, the trademarks of geographical indication totaled up to 5, 095; the approvals of products of geographical indication totaled up to 2, 380; the companies approved to use the special indications totaled up to 8, 318.
From January to July of 2019, the number of the registrations of the layout designs of integrated circuits reached 3, 560, among which 2, 968 registrations have been certificated.
