    Senior Partner Mr. Christopher Shaowei Attended and Moderated Group Discussion at the International Intellectual Property Business 2018 Forum

    On September 18, 2018, “International Intellectual Property Business 2018 Forum” was held in Beijing. The forum was co-hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI). Mr. Christopher Shaowei, senior partner from NTD Intellectual Property Attorneys, was invited and moderated the group discussion of “Protection of Trade Secret”.

    This session covered the following presentations : “Reports on the Progress of Intellectual Property Legislation in European and U.S.”, “ Impact of the Revision of the Definition of ‘Business Secrets’ in China’s Law against Unfair Competition Law on the Protection of Trade Secrets”, “Application of Judicial Protection of Trade Secrets---a look at the ‘Reflector Material’ Trade Secret Dispute Case”. “‘Reflector Material’ Trade Secret Dispute Case” (2016-Yu-Min-Zhong-NO.347, Civil Judgment, the Supreme Court of Henan Province) was listed as one of the Top 10 Intellectual Property Cases in 2017 by the Supreme People’s Court and the issue of publicity triggered  hot  discussion and deep thinking between the participants and audiences.


    International Intellectual Property Business 2018 Forum was designed to provide a platform for the business circles to get involved in building an international intellectual property governance system. At the forum were more than  300 delegates and experts  from the relevant departments under  the State Council, t related international organizations, some national governments, foreign embassies and consulates in China, well-known enterprises at home and abroad.
