Recently, the High Forum on Software Industry Innovation and Intellectual Property Protection was held in Beijing. The forum was co-organized by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China (MIIT)) and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, supported by China Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team (CICS-CERT)) and NTD Patent & Trademark Agency LTD.
Mr. Wan Pengyuan, Deputy Director of CICS-CERT moderated the morning session. Experts and scholars were from MIIT, State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO)), National Copyright Administration of the People’s Republic of China (NCAA), Beijing High People’s Court, Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS)), etc. Opinions and ideas were shared with the representatives from the industry associations and well-known law firms on the new trends and revolutions of software industry development.
Christopher Shen, senior partner from NTD, moderated the afternoon round-table discussion of “Analysis on Typical Cases of Software Intellectual Property Protection”. June Wang, senior partner from NTD shared her views on software patent infringement, and gave some advice on software patent. June has extensive experience in the field of software patent protection. Her views were welcomed by the attendees.
