China will enhance the research on judicial protection in emerging fields

    8/14/2017|INSIGHTS

Recently, the Shanghai Pudong New Area People’s Court held the symposium on judicial protection cases concerning cyberspace related intellectual property. Representatives from the Supreme People’s Court and 13 local courts discussed some typical intellectual property cases and exchanged opinions on hotspot and difficult issues in trial.

It is noted that the meeting reached consensus on related issues and brought forward three opinions for improving case study. First, efforts are to be made to exploit the advantages of cases by fully understanding new conditions, issues and disputes, digging fully into intellectual property cases and cultivating better exemplary cases. Second, research methods and orientation are to be determined by in-depth study of important and difficult cases. Some information technologies will be introduced into intellectual property trial such as internet, big data and cloud computing. Third, active promotion services will be done to explore the theory and practice of legal protection, and improve the ability of the judges.
