Recently, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television released the 2016 analysis report on press and publishing industry (hereinafter the report), which showed that digital publishing enjoyed the highest growth rate and made the most contribution to the industry growth in 2016.
According to the report, the press and publishing industry realized total revenue of 2,350 billion Yuan, an increase of 9% as compared with the same period of the previous year. Digital publishing realized revenue of 572.09 billion Yuan, an increase of 29.9%, and accounted for 24.2% of the revenue of the whole industry. It is noted that in 2016, about 11,100 copyrights were exported, an increase of 6.3%, wherein, digital copyrights made massive surplus with the net export of 1,047 copyrights, an increase of 192.5%.
