At a recent conference, a higher official from Ministry of Industry and Information Technology( hereinafter MIIT) said that China plans to establish about 15 technological innovation centers by 2020。It is reported that China has finished building the first power battery research center with detection capability for battery safety, performance and life-span. In addition to that, MIIT, together with local authorities, began to set up pilot cities of Made in China 2025. Up till now, 12 cities and 4 city groups were approved as pilot cities. In about a year, these cities not only made explorations in innovative system building, intelligent manufacturing, green manufacturing, but also carried out a series of new measures based on local conditions.
It is also noted that there is still a wide gap between China’s manufacturing industry and the manufacturing powers. In future, China will focus on seven aspects including pilot programs, quality, talents and environmental protection.
