At a recent conference, 10 central press units and news media sites jointly initiated the alliance for news media copyright protection (hereinafter the alliance), to enhance self-discipline and tackle the challenges in copyright protection for news.
115 newspapers, journals, broadcasting stations and TV stations released the declaration on enhancing the copyright protection of news works, which demanded that no individual or organization reprint, edit, modify, transmit, repost, copy or spread news works in any ways without written permission. Once authorized, news media, network service provider or individual should not change the title or the original text, and must specify the source and links on source websites, sign the name of the copyright holder. The acts of using news works without permission will be strictly held accountable according to law.
