At a recent conference, China Intellectual Property Alliance for Mining (hereinafter the alliance) was established. The alliance granted the license certificate for patent pool implementation to 9 enterprises. The inaugural background, work planning and development vision were also introduced.
It is noted that the alliance was initiated by major universities, institutions and enterprises in mining field, including China University of Mining & Technology, Beijing, China Coal Technology Engineering Group. Members of the alliance accumulatively applied for over 40,000 patent applications, and owned approximately 14,000 valid patents.
