    NCAC issued the 13th Five Year Plan on Copyright

    Recently, National Copyright Administration issued the 13th five year plan on copyright (hereinafter the plan), which reviews the achievement during 12th five year period, analyzes the current situation, clearly defines goals and key tasks, and makes overall deployments on national copyright work.

    According to the plan, by 2020, China will be initially built as a copyright power with better legislative system and enforcement capacity, strengthened surveillance, improved protection environment, and extended international exchange and cooperation. Copyright work will stick to three basic principles, including enhancing copyright protection, promoting copyright industry, and improving copyright work system.

    The plan also proposes 26 key tasks from 4 aspects covering copyright legislative system, foreign related working system, administrative system and social service system. These tasks include advancing the amendment of the Copyright Law, intensifying the efforts in copyright enforcement, promoting the use of copyrighted software, optimizing copyright management and propaganda. The plan further defines concrete performance measures relating to the number of registration works, number of computer software registration, number of national copy right models.
