Recently, the forum for the intellectual property development of China’s automobile industry was held in Beijing. Experts urge Chinese automobile enterprises to strengthen patent portfolio and the capability for risk control and litigation in order to deal with overseas disputes for intellectual property.
Currently, it is clear that foreign enterprises have obvious advantages in overall research and development, patent quality, patent management, industrial supervision; as a result, Chinese enterprises are confronting high risk of patent barrier and frequent disputes. Therefore, automobile enterprises are called to invest more in research and development, improve patent quality and patent portfolio, establish patent analysis system, and warning and handling mechanism.
