    11/30/2016|EVENTS

Recently, the executive meeting of the State Council passed the Anti-unfair Competition Law of People’s Republic of China (Draft Amendment) which will be submitted to the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress for review.

It is noted that the draft amendment is complimented by sections such as striking against commercial bribery, protection of business secret, and unfair competition in the network, etc.  Liabilities for civil compensation were strengthened. Illegal acts are to be severely enhanced in terms of credibility and administration. The draft amendment will help to protect the legitimate interests of operators and consumers, and to form the fair market environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.

The statistics show that, in the first half of 2016, administrations for national industry and commerce filed 478 unfair competition cases and concluded 118 cases, involving a total value of 27,380,000 Yuan.
