Recently, State Forestry Administration (hereinafter SFA) issued Opinions on Accelerating the Implementation of Innovation-driven Development to Support Forestry Modernization (hereinafter the opinions), which clearly defines the overall requirements and goals, as well as specific measures, including advancing the supply for technology innovation, the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and the level of forestry standardization.
The opinions give priority to the role of strategic alliance in coordinating industry, universities and research institutes. Meanwhile, efforts will be made to advance key forestry technology, the sharing mechanism of intellectual property, and the efficient coordination and reasonable connection of innovation resources. In addition, the atmosphere for entrepreneurship and innovation will be formed to encourage innovation activities at community-level.
