    NCAC reported 8 cases investigated in Sword Net 2016

    Recently, National Copyright Administration (hereinafter NCAC) make public notification on 8 cases concerning online piracy investigated in Sword Net 2016 special campaign.

    They were typical cases in fields of internet literature, game software, and online selling of pirated products. The websites found to infringe the copyright were located in Jiangsu, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guangxi and Beijing.

    Since the launch of Sword Net 2016 in July, all regions and departments have been making efforts to focus on key tasks, collect case clues, and speed up the settlement of cases. For newly found cases, investigation was actively done to intensify the fight against internet piracy and infringement. Up till now, copyright administrative departments received a large number of complaints and reports from owners and the public. 950 clues on internet infringement and piracy were already initially examined by NCAC. Some important clues were already transferred to related local authorities for further handling.
