    Shanghai High People’s Court formulated the 13th Five Year Plan on IP Trial

    Recently, Shanghai High People’s Court (hereinafter Shanghai High Court) pioneered to formulate the 13th Five Year Plan on Intellectual Property Trial (hereinafter the Plan). The plan consists of four parts. Part one makes a general review on the intellectual property judicial work of the courts in Shanghai. Part two analyzes the challenges during the period of the 13th Five Year, which focuses on making China an intellectual property power and its judicial protection. Part three clearly defines that the overall objective is to make courts in Shanghai a preferable choice for intellectual property protection. Part four puts forward the major tasks and working measures of intellectual property trial. According to the Plan, measures should be taken to let Shanghai courts take a leading role in intellectual property protection, improve the trial mechanism, advance the building of intellectual property court, seek innovative ways in intellectual property jurisdiction, enhance exchanges in judicial protection, and organize a first-class trial team.
