Recently, State Administration for Industry and Commerce issued a circular that one-year nationwide special actions will be carried out to protect Disney trademarks against infringements. The special actions will also protect the legitimate rights and interests of the consumers and nurture the market environment for fair competition.
It is reported that the administration for industry and commerce in Shanghai will establish a key protection zone in Shanghai Disneyland, Disneyland Resort and neighboring areas. In addition, administrations for industry and commerce will set up the protection mechanism for Disney trademark cases among major cities and main tourist cities in China.
The special actions will last from October 2015 to October 2016.
