At a recent meeting with the delegation from American Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), higher ranking official of Chinese government expressed the appreciation for American Biotechnology Industry Organization’s positive role in advancing the development of biotechnology industry. The signal was given that to develop biotechnology industry in China is the strategic choice of Chinese government. Chinese government will continue to enhance the protection of intellectual property rights, and improve the systems including drug examination and approval, in an effort to form a favorable environment for the development of biotechnology industry in China.
