The Strategic Alliance for Technology Innovation of Third-Generation Semiconductor Industry (hereinafter the Alliance) was recently established in Beijing, key members which are from research institutes, universities and enterprises.
It is said that the third-generation semiconductor is considered as a new key material in supporting the development of major industries including information, energy, transportation and defense. Chinese government has always been an active supporter of the development and industrialization of third-generation semiconductor materials and devices.
With supports from Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Beijing Municipal Science& Technology Commission, the Alliance will aim at constructing the innovation chain by promoting the industry-university-research institute collaboration, pushing forward the building of industrial ecosystem, cultivating a number of enterprises with independent intellectual property rights, famous brands and market competitiveness.
