Statistics show that, from January to September, a total of 112,700 cases related to IP infringement and counterfeiting were handled by China’s administrations and enforcement departments nationwide; 1,938 sites of making or selling fake goods were destroyed; 16,100 criminal cases related to IP were handled and over 20,000 suspects were arrested by public security organs; 12,200 cases involved nearly 20,000 suspects were prosecuted by procuratorial authorities.
The statistics indicates that there is a growth in terms of the criminal cases relating to IP over the previous years.
