    8/19/2014|EVENTS

Recently, according to the notice released by General Administration of Customs of the P.R.C. (GAC), Chinese customs will intensify the fighting against export-import IP infringement via postal and express deliveries, targeting at goods of clothing, bags, watches, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food, and household appliances and electronic products, etc.

According to the GAC, the customs of all areas will enhance cooperation with local post administrations for information exchange and enforcement coordination, and will further improve cooperation with the Public Security Departments and Industry and Commerce Administrations for IP enforcement to intensify source control of infringing activities.

In addition, customs will strengthen cooperation with the big e-commerce platforms so as to get timely transaction information of key goods and improve enforcement efficiency.

Statistics show that a total of 1.21 million infringing goods were seized by Chinese customs authorities in 2013, an increase of 124% compared with that of the same period last year.
