According to the statistics showed by SPC (Supreme People's Court) and SPP (Supreme People’s Procuratorate), 12,947,000 cases were handled in 2013, in which 8,155,912 were related to civil or commercial and IP rights. 8802 criminals and suspects of infringements of trademarks, patent rights, copyrights and trade secrecy thefts were prosecuted.
In 2013, a total of 100,000 IP cases were concluded by courts at all levels in China. It is said that more efforts will be intensified against the crimes involved in areas of food, drug and IP rights prosecution.
