The Copyright Standardization Technical Committee was officially founded in Beijing.
Members of the Committee were experts and representatives from the General Administration of Press and Publication of PRC, the State Administration of Radio Film and Television, the National Copyright Administration, and other domestic enterprises and institutions involved in copyright protection.
The main responsibilities of the Committee are to provide guidance for domestic copyright standardization and copyright-related technologies, conduct study and research on relevant copyright standards, set up copyright standardization system and propose plans for making and reviewing national standards of China’s copyright industry.
Up to now a number of projects on copyright standardization have been conducted such as the Digital Copyright Identifier (DCI), the Digital Content Copyright Metadata and The Digital Works Copyright Registration Metadata Standards, etc.
