Recently, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) issued a summary determination after investigation, announcing that there was no patent harassment in TouchPal of Shanghai Hanxiang （CooTek） on the competing products of the US Nuance.
Responding to the complaining of Nuance, CooTek focused on the defense of the patent invalidation of the complaint’s products and the non-infringement of its own. They presented previously cited documents of its kind during the investigation. After review of all evidence, the ITC was convinced that there was no infringement. Nuance therefore abandoned the litigation and offered a request for reconciliation, which was actively accepted by CooTek.
The result cleared the way for CooTek to penetrate their TouchPal products in US market.
