In order to protect intellectual property rights and establish a good commercial exhibition environment, an enforcement team with 36 members from different administrations was jointly set up at the 19th China Yiwu International Commodities Fair.
The enforcement team included 4 supervision and inspection groups, each responsible for one exhibition area. There was one additional group for general enforcement to ensure handling of all IP infringement cases. In addition, a service desk was set up at the exhibition hall to provide consultation services and solve problems concerning intellectual property rights for visitors and exhibitors.
During the fair, 6 patent consultation services were provided and more than 49, 500 booths were inspected, among which 88 suspected of IP infringement had been warned and punished and the infringing goods including bags, stationery, housewares etc. were disposed out of the exhibition.
