The State Council in China recently released The Middle and Long-term Development Plan for National Satellite Navigation Industry (hereinafter the Plan).
According to the plan, the intellectual property should be considered as the key factor to improve the competitiveness of the satellite navigation industry. It is said that by 2020, China will made significant innovative achievement which are competitive in intellectual property. The design and manufacture of key components in satellite navigation should catch up with the international standards. To meet the goal, IP protection will be strengthened and capabilities of creating and using intellectual property will also be improved.
