    6/25/2013|EVENTS

Recently, National Copyright Administration of China, the State Internet Information Office, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Ministry of Public Security jointly carried out “Sword Net Campaign” against online infringement and piracy in 2013. The campaign is to be targeted at music, videos and books on the Internet. The online trade of pirated software, books and audio-visual products are also the main targets of the Campaign. The supervision on audio-visual websites and online sales platform will be strengthened, and the copyright infringement and piracy on the Internet will be punished severely.

There are three key tasks of “Sword Net Campaign” in 2013: 1. To increase the quantity and quality of the investigated cases, to encourage the public to provide clues of online infringement and piracy, and to punish the online violation more severely. 2. To further increase the criminal punishment on online infringement and transfer these cases to the Public Security promptly. 3. To focus on key areas such as Internet literature, music, videos, games, animation, software, and online marketing platform; to crack down on unauthorized upload and spread of others’ work via Internet as well as the sale of pirated products through e-commerce platform and other illegal activities.
