    Promotion Plan for the Implementation of the National Intellectual Property Strategy in 2013 released

    Recently, a press conference on Promotion Plan for the Implementation of the National Intellectual Property Strategy in 2013 (hereinafter as The Promotion Plan) was held in Beijing. The Promotion Plan has made clear to the outside world about China's focus and the concrete implementation measures in the field of IPR.

    The Promotion Plan was jointly studied and drafted by the State Intellectual Property Office and other 27 members of the Inter-Ministerial offices. This Promotion Plan consists of eight key tasks and a total of 84 specific measures for the full deployment of the national Intellectual Property strategy work of 2013.

    The 8 key tasks under the Promotion Plan are: 1. improving IP creation level; 2. strengthening IP layout in key industries; 3. promoting IP utilization; 4. enhancing IP protection; 5. raising IP management capacity; 6. developing IP service industry; 7. strengthening IP culture development; 8. improving the organization and implementation of IP strategy.

    It is learnt that the year of 2013 is the fifth year since China started the implementation of the “National IP Strategy” promotion plan.
