Recently, the State Council approved the amendment of Regulation on the Implementation of the Copyright Law of the People's Republic of China, the Regulation on the Protection of the Right to Network Dissemination of Information, the Regulation on the Protection of Computer Software and the Regulation of the People's Republic of China on Protection of New Varieties of Plants.
The amendment of the regulations is related to the amount of fines, with a view to strengthening the enforcement of intellectual property against infringement and fake commodities. The amendment shall enter into effect as of March 1st, 2013.
