In January 2013, Beijing Patent Attorneys Association (BPAA) was established. Representatives from over 80 agencies in Beijing attended the founding ceremony.
It is learned that the establishment of BPAA is a major event of the Beijing Intellectual Property development during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, and it will promote implementation of the Beijing's intellectual property strategy and advance the healthy and sustainable development of the patent agency in Beijing.
Its tasks are protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the patent agents; strengthening training, education and experience-sharing; promoting talent training and information exchange; and developing and promoting self-regulation, service standard and professional ethics for the patent agency industry in Beijing.
